As temperatures rise in San Diego, many of our unhoused neighbors face the dangerous effects of extreme heat. Last summer, Onyeka Tefari Wellness and Spa partnered with Akhawaty.org to launch the Cool Kindness Campaign, providing chilled beverages, fresh fruits, and snacks to those in need. This year, we’re doing it again—but we need your help to make it happen!
How You Can Help
Our goal is simple: Serve 100 people each Sunday for 4 weeks, offering hydration, nourishment, and compassion. Each event costs $250 (just $2.50 per person), covering:
- Bottled water & electrolyte drinks
- Fresh fruits (oranges, bananas, apples)
- Nutritious snacks (granola bars, nuts)
- Cooling towels or hygiene kits (if funds allow)
With your support, we can raise $1,000 to fund all four events.
Ways to Contribute:
- Donate Any Amount – Every dollar helps! ($2.50 feeds one person, $25 feeds 10, $250 covers a full Sunday.)
- Sponsor a Week – Cover the full $250 for one event and receive recognition on our social media and websites.
- Spread the Word – Share this campaign with friends, family, and networks who care about community wellness.
