This is a 2.3-mile out-and-back trail near Santee\, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route\, it takes an average of 1 h 33 min to complete. DESCRIPTION:Lake Murray is a gem in San Diego that is especially helpful as we prepare for the “Couch to 5 Peaks” challenge! It is an out and back trail\, and is pretty easy. Why is this trail helpful then? Well it gives us about 6 miles for 1 round. For the 5 peaks challenge\, we need to get use to hiking long distances between the mountains\, and Lake Murray is a nice fill in for that need. \nWe will be starting early\, so be sure to bring light (headlamp)\, and dress appropriately for the weather. \nParking: We meet up near the Lake Murray Park side of the lake\, so the address for the venue gets you right in front of where we will be meeting up at. \nFrom All Trails: \nDiscover this 5.7-mile out-and-back trail near La Mesa\, California. Generally considered an easy route\, it takes an average of 1 h 43 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding\, fishing\, and road biking\, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome\, but must be on a leash.
